With Covid restrictions easing, let's take a look at what this means for festivals such as Glastonbury, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Notting Hill Carnival.
Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival takes place every year on the last weekend of August. It is London's biggest street party which celebrates the Caribbean culture through colours, music and flavours. Elaborate floats and colourful costumed performers parade the streets of West London. Dance away to the sounds of the steel bands and calypso music or try the mouthwatering food bursting with Caribbean flavours and spices. Due to the pandemic Notting Hill Carnival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021. Nothing Hill Carnival is due to take place this year, dates are to be confirmed.
Glastonbury
Glastonbury is a yearly event that takes place at Worthy Farm in the Vale of Avalon. The Glastonbury Festival is the largest music and performing arts event in the world. Glastonbury will take place 22nd-26th June 2022 and will feature performances from Billie Eilish and many more artists.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival happens every year for 3 weeks in August in the city of Edinburgh. It is celebration of arts and cluture. Upcoming or established artists and performers from the music, theatre, comedy, dance and many more industries take to the stage to showcase their work and to entertain us.
